Paula Creamer ready to battle rivals in Virginia, but victory drought her biggest concern
American Paula Creamer, whose profile speaks highly of her stunning accomplishments on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour, has been struggling to record a victory since she clinched her last
title at the US Women’s Open in July 2010.
Apparently, Creamer’s fans and admirer have not given up on her and they still expect the American star to get back to her winning form. Although she struggled with every aspect of her game in some of the recent
LPGA tournaments, she still has what it takes to bounce back.
Creamer is in the roster of the upcoming Kingsmill Championship, scheduled to start from September 6-9, at Williamsburg, Kingsmill Resort, River Course, Virginia, which means that the LPGA titan is going to
have another good opportunity to atone for her past lapses.
It remains to be seen how she is going to fare against rivals in Virginia next month, but her hope to start winning again is as alive as it was when she won the US Women’s Open 2010 — a major tournament co-sanctioned
by the LPGA Tour.
The field for the Kingsmill has yet to be finalised but several key contenders have been confirmed to take part in the event. Some of the prominent players confirmed to show up at Kingsmill include Stacy Lewis
who currently ranks second in the Women’s World Golf Rankings, Lexi Thompson, Brittany Lang, Natalie Gulbis and Michelle Wie of the United States.
Creamer’s performance at the CN Canadian Women’s Open was below average as she struggled throughout the four days to score well. She looked down and out and missed several good chances to make birdies.
The struggling golfer is aware that her victory drought is taking a serious toll on her overall performance. She said in one of her recent interviews that she is really worried about not being able to win an
event.
“I think about it every day.  It's been two years.  Yeah, I do.  It's hard.  This has been by far the biggest struggle I've ever had to go against, and this is my 8th year out here.  It's definitely been the
hardest one for me, a lot of things going off and on the golf course,” Creamer shared.
