Paula Creamer tied at the sixth position
Paula Creamer had a great day at the Evian Masters and scored 68 points. She was tied for the sixth position with the Chinese golfer Shanshan Feng.
The American player played at a steady pace and scored a birdie on the fourth hole. At the end of the first round, she was at 4-under par 68, a very good score, considering the performance of other big names at the event.
So far, Creamer has not managed to win a tournament this year. This is a worrying sign for the American golfer who was once considered to be among the finest golfers in the world. Her performance declined steadily over the years and she has slipped down
the ranking tables.
This year, her performance at the Evian Masters has given her fans some hope. She began the tournament on a neat note and is expected to go up the rankings once the second round is underway.
Creamer was very pleased with her performance in the first round. She admitted that she was always a late starter and usually finished first rounds in the lower rankings. However, she plans to improve her game and is aiming for the top slots by the end of
the second round.
She said that she putted rather well throughout the round. Talking about the tournament in general and the management she was all praises. She said that the management really knows how to treat women golfers and the course is great to play on.
In order to finish the tournament on a happy note, Paula Creamer will have to really focus on her game. At the start of the second round, she will face tough competition from the top players who will attempt to make their move up on the points table.
Other players who have played great so far include the South Korean star Hee Young Park. She is the current number two on the ranking table of the tournament. Many believe that she will prove to be a great opponent to Creamer.
The top ranked player is Stacy Lewis with her 63 points. The lead is just 5 strokes but for Creamer that could be a difficult score to beat.
