Rampre started the match with a successful hold; her opponent followed her with scores progressing to 1-1. The see-saw battle continued until the scores moved to 3-3. A trade of breakpoints between the contestants witnessed

match.
Ormaechea held her serve in the following game, sparing just one point for the veteran and bagged the opening set with no problems at all. Trailing one set down, Rampre was well experience with such situation and showed immense
courage in the second set to bounce back into the match.
She commenced the second set with a successful breakthrough and coupled it with a serve hold to double the lead. However, the teen fought back and sneaked a breakpoint in the fourth game to level the scores at 2-2.
Unfortunately for the Argentine, her serve was broken in the eighth game that gave a monumental lead to her opponent of 5-3. The veteran spared a couple of points before bagging the second set and marching on with the contest.
In the initial stages of the final set, no drama was witnessed but soon the players swapped breakpoints to heat up the contest with the scores ticking over to 3-3. Successful holds at both ends were followed by an exchange
of breakpoints that kept the scores together at 5-5. Both players stayed calm and enforced a tie-breaker round to decide the set.
Rampre was beaten for pace and stamina that gifted the last two points of the tie-break to her opponent who went into the third round of the contest from the opening qualifying stages.
