Pavel Bure's speed?

Does anyone know how fast Pavel Bure was clocked skating?

I would estimate 25mph but honestly I'm not sure. I think in the ASG events though that Federov beat him, but both were scary fast

I've never heard of anyone clocking him.  I know the All-Star skills competition is based on "time" and not speed for the fastest skater competition.

He certainly was fast.  It's one thing to be a fast skater (like Bret Hedican for example) but it's another thing to actually do it with a puck during the game.  There weren't many, if at all that could do it all in overdrive as well as Bure. Bondra comes to mind, even Ovechkin in today's NHL. But Bure has to be considred among the fastest ever.

I don't have a number for you, but I remember he was chosen to compete in the fastest skater competition in the All-Star game. He wasn't the fastest skater under pure skating circumstances, but he certainly skates fast under game circumstances and when puck-handling.

No, but i wish he never got injured, he was one of my fav. players and i believe would have put up 70 goal seasons with todays NHL....before injuries of course.
