Pavel Nedved believes his former side Juventus deserve to be league leaders – Serie A update
Former Juventus star attacking midfielder, Pavel Nedved, believes that Juventus deserve to be on top of the league table this season and they will be keeping that spot reserved for long this term.
The Bianconeri have made an impressive start to the 2011/12 season and are the current league leaders with 19 points, ahead of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.
Juventus have remained unbeaten so far this season after the first 9 league games and have maintained a clean sheet against the toughest Scudetto competitors. The Lady Killers have already beaten both AC Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan and are currently looking forward
to visit Naples to take on Napoli with ambitions to remain unbeaten.
The Juve legend, who is also a part of board members at Turin, is not surprised by the outcome of the ongoing season. Nedved believes that Juve can make a concrete Scudetto bid this campaign and are certainly going to make a comeback in the European competitions.
The former attacking midfielder was talking to La Repubblica and there he expressed how he felt for the ongoing term. The former Czech international said:
"I am not surprised that Juve are at the top of the table. Everyone feels this is something exceptional, but for me it is normal like it has always been. This season has turned out to be great for us thus far and we will not be stopping here."
However, Nedved is not happy with the current situation of the Juve Captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726, who is expected to leave the Turin giants at the end of the season. The second striker has not seen much of first team action this season and has been seen
on the Juve sidelines.
"Del Piero is not going through a good situation. A player like him should always be playing. I do not like seeing him in the stands or on the bench," said the former Juve star regarding Del Piero.
Juventus take on Napoli on Sunday, November 6, at Stadio San Paolo. It will be a tough call for the Bianconeri to win against one of the strongest teams in Serie A away from home but Juve, driven with ambitions to regain their credibility, are looking forward
to give the Neapolitans a tough time.
