The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882 international player has gone on to reflect on the draw that Juve have been dealt with after the results of the draw were made for last 16.
Juventus have been the happiest club in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 with respect to the draws of the round of 16, they have been handed a tie in the last 16 against the Scottish Champions, Celtic. This has meant that the Turin giants had avoided ties against the likes of European
heavy weights, Real Madrid; and the English Premier League outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429. Even though Nedved had remarked before the event that Juve do not fear anybody, he must be breathing a sigh of relief with the side that they have been dealt with.
However, having said that; Nedved counted on his own experience and remarked that the Turin giants have to give due respect to the opposition in the upcoming matches, and stated that the away leg would be an extremely tough fixture. He recalled the fact
that they had defeated a team like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 as proof that Celtic were no pushovers; but he also remarked that there was a possibility of being pitted against even tougher teams. While commenting on the issue with Mediaset Premium, he went on to remark:
“Celtic are a side to be respected. I’ve played against them in the past and they have beaten Barcelona this season. They will be hard to face away from home. Saying that, it could have gone worse for us…”
However, despite the relative ease of the tie, there would be no complacency on the end of the Bianconeri outfit, courtesy of their head coach, Antonio Conte. This would be the first match in Europe that he would be conducting from the touchline, as his
ban in the Serie A was extended to the Champions League by UEFA.
His competitive nature would mean that his players are well prepared for the match and the fact that he is able to lead his troops to the quarter finals of the tournament. This would be an important step for the Turin giants who will regain the respect and
fear they instilled throughout Europe in their heydays.
