Copied from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, thought you might like to read what the hometown newspaper has to say. I'll post more later when I get the time.

"Taylor is officially a super middle weight now, his next fight will be at 168 pounds. Pavlik told Taylor in the ring after the fight he thinks they should fight a third time, at 168 pounds, after Pavlik takes care of a few title defenses at 160 pounds. Taylor's camp would welcome the fight"

"Before the postfight news conference began Saturday night HBO boxing executives told DiBella that Taylor's next fight will be on HBO. Jeff Lacy and Roy Jones Jr. will be the first two names that come up when DiBella begins discussions for Taylor's next opponet in about a month."

  1. After back-to-back defeats to Kelly Pavlik and going up to a higher division, I think Jermain Taylor should take it easy in his next fight, perhaps to build a little confidence. Before thinking about going after Roy Jones, Jeff Lacy (who doesn't interest me anymore) or Mikkel Kessler, I think he should go after Allen Green or Peter Manfredo.

  2. i dont like a third match between taylor and pavlik.  taylor should just steer clear.  he cant knock out pavlik and he can't out box him.  pavlik's skills and power carry into 168 a lot better than taylor's.  i also think a move to 168 is dumb for taylor.  the last fight at 168 showed us that his power doesn't carry, and there's way too many guys at 168 that can out box him to an easy decision.  Cal, Kess, Jones Jr. and probably Lacy would all breeze to UD's over taylor.  he's wouldn't be an immediate contender, he doesnt have to tools at 168.  my favorite fight would be jones-taylor.  jones is too big, too fast, and too powerful for taylor, even at his age.  make no mistake, jones still has what it takes.

  3. Well, for Taylor, he will definately be fighting at super middleweight and may eventually move up to light heavyweight because it is too difficult for him to make 160 pounds.  I suspect that he may fight his former Olympic team-mate Jeff Lacy.  I also definately would not rule out a third fight with Pavlik down the line at super middleweight because Pavlik will eventually be forced to move up as well because its hard for him to make 160 as well.  As you've already mentioned, he will have at least a few defenses of his championship at middle weight before he moves up; his next fight in June will most likely either be against John Duddy or Felix Trinidad (if Tito can make the weight).

  4. i would love to see Edison Miranda and Taylor at 168 ..... they both moved up and if not for Kelly Pavlik that would of been the blockbuster fight.... i think Miranda will knock Taylor out but would be a hellof a fight .... Jeff Lacy is overrated and Roy JOnes is a year away from being a senior citizen so neither one of those guys sounds  good.... as for Pavlik it seems he will bring the white guy vs. white guy back to boxing ... i dont like any of the guys at the top of the 160 division so Calzaghe would be a great choice but if not John Duddy or Andy Lee would be matches i would love to watch...but time will tell
