In the last session on day two of the 2011 Sette Colli Trophy, Pawel Korzeniowski, Sophie Edington, Kirsty Coventry and Luca Marin nabbed their titles in the 200m butterfly, 100m back-stroke and 400m IM events respectively, in Rome, Italy, on June 18.
Initially, Pawel Korzeniowski picked up the top seed in the Men’s 200m butterfly event with a sterling time of 1 minute and 56.32 seconds and moved into 5th place in the world rankings.
Placed second in the 200m butterfly was Chad Le Clos with a time of 1 minute and 57.12 seconds for his 16th place in the world rankings, while Ioannis Drymonakos snared bronze in 1 minute and 57.78 seconds. Francesco Pavone wound up fourth in
1 minute and 57.79 seconds, whereas, Niccolo Beni was surprisingly placed 5th in 1 minute and 57.99 seconds in the corresponding meet.
On the other hand, the Women’s 100m back-stroke crown was taken over by Sophie Edington with a winning time of 1 minute and 00.76 seconds, while Elizabeth Simmonds was placed second in 1 minute and 00.88 seconds. Sharon Van Rouwendaal captured third spot
with a time of 1 minute and 01.24 seconds.

Afterwards, Kirsty Coventry and Luca Marin claimed gold medals in the Women’s and Men’s 400m Individual Medley finals. Coventry took gold medal in the Women’s 400m IM with a fastest time of 4 minutes and 38.18 seconds and jumped to 4th spot in the
international rankings. Earlier, she set a world record in the respective meet with a winning time of 4 minutes and 37.21 seconds, in May.
Placed second in the Women’s 400m IM was Stefania Pirozzi with a time of 4 minutes and 40.48 seconds for her 14th place in the international rankings, whereas, Kathryn Meaklim finished third in a time of 4 minutes and 43.42 seconds.
Finally, Luca Marin won the Men's 400 IM crown with a sterling time of 4 minutes and 17.28 seconds, while Matteo Pelizzari earned second spot in 4 minutes and 20.58 seconds. Riaan Schoeman settled third in a time of 4 minutes and 21.21 seconds. Moreover,
Sebastiaan Verschuren took home the Men's 200m freestyle crown with a victorious time of 1 minute and 48.41 seconds.
