Pay Pal Protection?

I want to buy 2 concert tickets through a guy on Craigslist. Everything seems ligit because he has the exact seats and when I asked about the tickets he said he would check if there is a number on the tickets or something I can use to verify their authenticity.

So lets say I get the tickets, they are $250 and they turn out to be fake. Can I file a claim with Pay Pal? It's not through ebay...

  1. It would be your own d**n fault, sorry.

What the h**l was $250 anyways?

  2. I'm not sure but I don't think PayPal guarantees anything. They didn't used to. If this is fraudulent sale, and is purchased through your credit card company, then you can make a claim through them. It will probably be very difficult to get your money back though. Be careful. ♥ ∞

  3. If it is paid with thru PayPal, it should be.  If you are not sure, email or call them and double check.  PayPal is supposed to have protection on all purchases, but that can change for different items.

  4. im not sure. i always thought paypal had my back but when i bought this fake thing but they screwed me over. they reviewed it and said that they werent responsible. it might be different in your case so i dont know.
