Pay by channel?

i live in australia and i was wondering if there was a company that offered to choose the cable channels u want without getting a massive channel package with random channels u dont want(pay by channel). is there such a company?

I think that doesn't exist and it wont because its not cost effective for the company and neither for you because it is true that from almost 200 channels you regularly watch like 10 or less imagine if everybody only pay for 10 channels how much do you think the cable provider gonna charge you so they dont loose money, i bet it would be more than what you way right now for the 200.


  2. Satellite TV companies should be able to offer 'pick and mix' packages, where you decide the proportion of TV programme types you want eg history, sport, films, nostalgia etc. In the UK, Sky offer these, although I don't use satellite TV.

    Also, 'freeview' is a possiblilty. All you need is a set top box to receive around 30 TV channels, and digital radio stations for free.
