  1. I love to ride the bus. I meet cute guys at the bus stop and I make out with them. Sometimes I get off at the wrong stop and follow a stranger home....just because I am hoping to make a new friend.

I have a cute, fluffy hamster that rings a little bell when I want the bus to stop. And the bus always stops right in front of my house- because I am special.

  2. Gas is getting ridiculous.  It has to start going down at some point.

In my area (northeast Pennsylvania), the highest I've seen is $3.95 per gallon.  I saw on the computer last night that in parts of California, gas is already up to $4.83 per gallon.  Thats CRAZY.

I'll continue to drive, but I'll also be using my bicylce more or walking, and trying to find employment closer to home.

  3. I would pay for the gas. You gain so much more paying for the gas and driving yourself. One you get air conditioning instead of waiting in the heat for the bus. Second, you go directly where you need to go and save a bunch of time.

  4. I'll rather take bus because in NY gases are highly expensive.

  5. pay 4 gas - s***w waitin for the bus

  6. Where i work the bus doesn't go there. Nor does the bus start as early so I can get there on time (even if it did run that far out).

  7. I'll pay for gas and se it wisely

  8. Where I'm at in Northern CA, gas is $4.60/gal for the cheap stuff and I have an SUV which I can't get rid of, since it's paid off and used for towing, hauling kids, and 4 wheel drive for snow.  Can't afford car insurance and car payment for 2nd economy car, so I've done a tradeoff with my driving habits.  I carpool to work and ride my bike for little errands when I don't have to take the family.  Even looking at taking the bus "into town" with the family if we're spending the day there during the weekend.  If gas hits $5--which is most definite--we will probably have more people willing to join our carpool.  Or use mass transit more if we can get our work hours to flex.  Either way, I think if you still insist on having an SUV or other fuel-loving vehicle, you have to start making concessions to reduce your consumption and bring down demand.  Our future gives us no choice. At $5/gallon, I'm still going to do what I like doing when I have to drive (camping, vacations, etc) but I've decided to cut back on my day to day in order to make that happen.

  9. If there were a bus that was going where I wanted to go I'd use it regardless of the price of gas.  Too bad there isn't, in most cases.  But I use it once in a way.
