Okay, this hasn't happened to me personally, but a friend had sold someone something through a virtual world, for paypal. Two friends did actually, and she reversed the payment on them but kept the items. She comes back after having a big riot on the forums about her and claims she never stole anything, that paypal "must've taken the money from me becasue it was stolen from me!" and I was wondering what their policy is on that,I don't think they are able to take anything from your account without your authorization, are they? Is she lying? Please answer this question for me,as it's puzzling a whole community of this Virtual world.

  1. All I can say is Paypal is risky. I sell on Ebay and have been screwed over many times by Paypal. It's too easy for people to claim they never got an item and do chargebacks. They decide 99% of the time in side of the buyer, NO MATTER WHAT. I sold something to someone who closed their EBay account, and then did a reversal 3 weeks later (obvious scam) and paypal still decided in their favor. So, i have 0% trust in paypal, if paypal was so credible, other places would take them, and they dont

  2. It took me 2 years to get half of my money back with the California Attorney General's office and the BBB fighting for me.

See http://nopaypal.com before you deal with them or their parent company, Ebay, they are all crooks!
