PayPal won't let me verify - it says mu account is already in use?

Question

Ok so i signed in to my paypal the other day, with no previous problems before. My account was verified and i'd made lots of transactions. However when i signed in yesterday after not using paypal for a week or so my account status was unverified and now when i try to add my bank account again it comes up with this message

"That bank account is already assigned to another PayPal account. For security purposes, each bank account may only be assigned to one PayPal account. Please use a different bank account."

There's no way anyone else could be using my account. Paypal must still think the account is assigned to my profile, but it isn't or else i wouldn't have to verify!?

Do you have two different accounts? If you don't, then just call paypal and they will fix it. They have pretty good telephone customer service.

I would actually call them-I delt with a problem with adding my credit card and got it fixed. A live person can help alot-plus you want to make sure your info isn't in the wrong hands or place. You may have to deal with the stupid phone computer thing and wait but I think it will be your best bet. They are a good company-just big.
