I just incorporated my company. Do I need to ask all people that paying me, put my company's name on the paycheques, or my name is still enough?

It is a company with two shareholders, my wife and me.

Thanks

  1. You  should  have people paying you make out their checks to the company name, as that is what should be on the bank account. You need to keep the company money and your money separate.

    Regards,

    Dan

  2. As an incorporated company you do not get paychecks, you invoice customers. You must have a separate bank account set-up in the registered company name (or incorporation number) and signing authorities set-up with the bank i.e. you and your wife.

If you draw a salary from the company the company pays that money to you and you or your wife (who ever has signing authority) signs the cheques for the corporation.

    Hope that helps
