I got a ticket a month ago in NYC for drinking outdoors. I paid my ticket with a check but it hasn't cleared, I unfortunately did not make a copy of the fine so I don't know who to call to ensure they received it. Can anyone help? I've googled NYPD and it did not come up with contact info for this?

  1. Payments are made to the courts not to the police. You'll need to search for the courts that handles summons in the area you got your ticket.

To do so, you'll need the Court name you made the check payable to or where you got the ticket. Hopefully you have that written in your check register or have the checkbook that has duplicates.

Also, did you put the summons number on the check and include a SASE with your payment? If so, you will get mailed a receipt afterwards.
