  1. Many insurance providers DO cover elective abortion--she should DEFINITELY call her insurer and find out the details of her specific policy.

If you're surprised to hear that an elective abortion would be covered, just think about the cost of an abortion compared to that of providing pre-natal care, childbirth, and post-natal care following a pregnancy carried to term.

  2. Don't listen to the people talking trash to you on here.  An abortion is a decision for a woman to make and is no one else's business.

Anyways, I think some health insurance companies might acutally cover an elective abortion, but I do know that if you have any form of government insurance like Medicaid, they will not cover it.  Just call up your insurance company and ask them.  If they do, it will save you a few hundred dollars.

    Good Luck!

  3. I hope my suggestion could be helpful. And here is resource that I am used to use.Check it out.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/...

  4. Highly unlikely that any insurance company will pay for an abortion unless the mother's life is at risk, but even then it would be unusual.

  5. Cash and the girl should get help before considering something like abortion. There are other alternatives like adoption which is a safer alternative and I am pretty sure it's free or atleast cheap.

  6. That's just sick. That girl needs to get a reverse abortion done on herself.

  7. some cover elective abortion some will not.. i dont know if this applies to you, but if you belong to a catholic HMO, or you go to a catholic facility, they will not perform it. so check that.. and, it also depends on how far along she is too. some facilities will only terminate up to X amount of months. call the insurance and ask if they cover "elective abortion"

  8. Some health insurance plans will cover it.  You'll have to call the number on the back of your card and ask.

  9. Insurance will not cover...that is a self decision and murder

  10. why would you get one do you like murder

  11. She needs to call her insurance company to see if that is a covered expense and do so quickly, she may not be covered after the first trimester except in an emergency.  As you see by a lot of the emotional answers here, it may or may not be covered.  If not covered, be prepared to pay cash, or go to Planned Parenthood for help on this situation. (not money help, but other alternatives too)
