I know alot of people will say its about the principle, but I don't understand why people complain so much about the taxpayer having to pay for the monarchy.
Its around 62p a year for each person, and I would personally rather pay for an institution which represents the UK's vibrant history and gives us individuality and a bit of glamour compared to these bland republics, then buy like a packet of crisps!
The revenue from tourism put back into the state because of the monarchy is probably higher then what we pay the monarchy per year.
What do you think?
