Paying insurance monthly?

Question

ive never booked insurance myself before

if your happy with your online quote can you ring them up tell them your saved quote ref and then arrange monthly payment/direct debit rather than having to go through all questions again on the phone?

what will happen then? will they have to check stuff get your bank details and then send paperwork through?

the insurance is going to be in my name but im giving my partners bank card details for direct debit would that be ok?

Everthing youve said seems fine,just one word of warning, check who youll be lending the money of to pay the insurance.Insurance companies will require the full amount to be paid,an agent of their choice will then direct debit your account adding interest.Also check how much theyll charge you if you need to cancel the policy if indeed your allowed to.Make sure you read the small print especially concerning the finance.

I am an Insurance Agent. You should never do anything on line, unless you know about Insurance.

1st. You need to know what kind of Ins. you are looking 4.

2nd. Depending on what company you are going through, they must run your social, drivers license# & personal financial stability. (credit)

3rd. Ones the proccess is done they will go over the minimum coverages that your state requiers.

Keep in mind, if you do this on line, you won't have a clue on how to even know what are your beniffits & dis advantages are.

I can do this all day, I say call them up & do the proccess over the phone, most companies will take the paymwent over the phone & email you or fax you your Insurance card.

That method is fine. As long as they have the correct details of the driver(s), vehicle(s) nd valid payment details (from anyone!!) then the insurance company are happy.

As soon as a payment is taken and approved, they'll send a temporary cover note, followed (normally within a week or so) by the full policy.

Depends on the company. The insurance agent above me is wrong. I've had progressive and everything is good.
