Is it bad to pay off your credit card before the statement balance comes out? Or should I wait till the statement is ready? Or pay it halfway before it's due or what?

  1. It is always best to keep a zero balance on your credit card.  If you mail your balance 5 working days prior to the due date, you will not be charged any interest.

  2. Not usually.  You should just call the company and make sure that they do not have a penalty for an early payoff... Usu sally that is with a loan, but it is just a quick call, and I wouldn't trust these companies these days.
