Paying off credit card debt?

i'm trying to pay off my credit card and don't seem to be going anywhere with it. is there a way that i can work with the credit card company to reduce the interest rate for a period of time?

find a lower interest rate and switch card company

A lot depends on the health of your credit score. But if you a decent score you are in a better position to do so. There is never any harm in simply asking. I've done it myself and it actually worked, once. Or the other option is to transfer your balance to a lower APR card.
