  1. I recommend if the particular seller accepts Checks or Money Orders, you go get a Money Order and pay with that.

Checks are very risky these days, I try not to give them to people I don't know, with your account and routing number right on your check anyone can order anything on the internet, that is how alot of identity theft happens.

I contact the seller and tell them I entend to pay with a money order, you can not do this if they don't say they accept checks/MO.

If they do you can bid on those items.

I ask them to whom I make out the money order, and where to send it.

When I mail it at the post office , I make sure that I mail it priority mail and where they have to sign for it.

That way they can't say they didn't mail it...

It takes longer but it is safer...

  2. Your best bet is going to be Paypal.

With Paypal, you can link to your bank account. I know that sounds scary at first but Paypal is one of the most secure and reputable payment websites on the internet.

When you buy an item off eBay, you can select pay with Paypal as if it is a credit card. You pay instantly!  Then, Paypal will go back to your bank and ask for the money, so the person you bought your item from doesn't have any of your banking or account information what so ever.

Paypal is very simple or easy to use.  Paying with a check or money order with paypal can be hard because you will have to mail it to the person and it could get lost in the mail or they could say they never received it. With Paypal, its all recorded online.

I don't even think you need a bank card, just an account number at a bank.

  3. You can open a Paypal account that's linked directly to your checking account. You don't need to have a credit card to open a Paypal account.

Some eBay sellers are willing to accept personal checks for payment, but most are not. Paypal is by far the preferred method for both sellers and buyers.
