My husband and I have 2 claims with Northern rock and HSBC.

What I want to know is how long will they keep paying out for. Is there a limit on the payments like do they only pay out for 12 months or do they keep paying indefinitely untill you stop the claim. Ours has been 9 months so far.

  1. There's only one person who can find this out and that is YOU!

How you ask?  By reading the small print, or if you cannot find the documentation that came with the policies contacting them.

  2. Depends on the policy.

Normally you are paid for a maximum of 12 months. If you go back to work  then there would be a qualifying period before you could claim again (usually 6 months for unemployment and three after accident/ sickness).

Then there is the matter if you obtain temporary work - this can affect the length of time a claim is admitted.

  3. I work for HSBC and can tell you that if it is sickness you are claiming for then it is until the end of the loan or until you can go back to work if it is unemployment then it is for up to 12 months or again until you find another job.  Hope this is of help, I have dealt with PPI so I know this is 100% correct.

  4. I THINKS ITS 12 MONTHS.YOU NEED TO READ YOUR POLICY AND FIND OUT WHERE YOU STAND
