Paypal and ebay question?

Question

let say my paypal account has a balance of $1,

and i bought something that cost $5 from ebay and choose to pay with paypal

does paypal automatically take out $4 from my bank account?

Not exactly. Once the billing process is completed paypal will have to clear the transaction. But sellers on ebay are patient with this cause that is a sale. I would know I sell.

When you set up your paypal account, you had to designated payment sources, usually a bank account and a credit card.  Usually, Paypal will take the purchase price out of the bank account and look to the credit card if there's not enough money in the bank account.  You can, however, instruct Paypal to use the credit card when you are completing the transaction.

yes, if they are linked up! thats why you dont buy anything off ebay unless your sure u have the money!  If you do then u dont have to worry about not having enough to pay for the item.  good luck!
