Paypal emailed me for personal information?

I find it unusual that paypal should email me wanting personal information. What's your input, thanks.

This is a phishing email, don't click on any links in it or give out any personal information.

I had the same thing actually a couple of days ago. I think in the end, dont follow any links from the email. Instead, open a new browser window and go to the paypal website. Sign in. When you sign in they have under your profile if there are any detail you need to update.....alot safer that way. Hope that helps!

DONT GIVE THEM ANYTHING IT IS A PHISHING EMAIL!!!  you need to forward the email to

[e-mail]

and they can try to find who is doing this.  most of the time they dont find them but at least they can try.

That email is not from paypal. Paypal doesn't ever do that, because they would have no reason to. They get all your information when you sign up for the account, and if they needed more information, they would tell you once you signed into the account.

A lot of scammers pretend to be from paypal, DO NOT reply and report it to your ISP.

Paypal is not to be trusted in any event, but how do you know it really IS Paypal?

NEVER SEND YOUR PERSONAL INFO IN AN E-MAIL. SCAMMERS DO THIS PRETENDING TO BE BANKS, LOTTO COMPANIES, AND INSURANCE REPS.

Paypal may well email you for information but they won't expect you to answer via a link in the email. I was recntly asked to change some of my info as they thought my account had been accessed by another user.

I was also wary of the email so I opened up a new window and logged into my account from there and changed the details.

There are a lot of phishing scams which try to get details from you but as long as you don't enter in any information over email you will be fine.

If the email is above board, there will be a message to alert you when you log into your account.
