Does Pay pal email you when you buy something?

  1. baeb47 is correct. As common business practice for financial institutions a receipt is given when a payment is sent or received. Now if you receive a receipt and you did not make a payment WATCH OUT. 90% chance the email is fake, therefore do not click on any links and manually type paypal and review your account.


  2. PayPal sends an email that is like a receipt to let you know that money has been paid out, but they won't ask you to reply or for any information or any kind of a response.  If you get something like that, it is probably some online criminal doing some "phishing" for information, passwords, etc.  If you ever received something supposedly from PayPal that makes you suspicious, forward the whole email to spoof@paypal.com

    They will check it out and let you know what they find out.
