Payphone ???

i got a call from somone and they said it was a payphone i called the number back and someone picked up ,,,,,, can you call back a payphone?? or was this a house?

Just wait a while, from now till when you made your post should do it, and then call the number again.  If someone answers ask them if it is a payphone, if they say yes, ask them where it is located.  You can always check it out yourself.

Most pay phones in the US do NOT ring incoming calls anymore. There was a lot of abuse and drug dealing that prompted this change. You may soon see all pay phones phased out, since they no longer make any money with so many cell phones.

You can call back a payphone. There's no way of knowing if it actually was a payphone, but, yes, it could have been.

Yes, you can call back a payphone, and it will ring the same as any other phone does.
