There will not be a more disappointed fan in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 then the fans of AC Milan, a side who were the runners up in the Lega last year, and were the Winter Champions of the previous campaign. From a team battling it out at the top of the table into one that
is not even challenging for the UEFA Champions League, it has been a fall from grace for the Rossoneri giants, and their team has lost the fear and weight it used to carry out throughout Europe.
This can be seen in their matches against the newcomers to the Champions League in Malaga, a side who have performed exceptionally well in the Spanish Lega and have developed into a formidable outfit in just a couple of years. Had any Milanello outfit of
the previous years’ been pitted against the Spanish outfit, the Rossoneri giants would have been the odds on favourite to win the tie; however, in their recent line up, there was no such indication. In fact, Malaga went on to top the group which included Milan
as the runners up; and the Spanish outfit defeated the outfit as well.
Pazzini must be ruing his luck after transferring to a team which is struggling to keep up to pace with the rest of the European candidates, and in comparison his former employers are in the top three of the Serie A standings at the end of the first term
of the campaign.
The former Nerazzurri striker reflected that the team needs to improve in their defensive aspects and stated that they must perform against AC Siena, and was quoted to have said:
“It’s a shame to finish the year like that. We really didn’t need a defeat right before Christmas… In general, we’ve conceded many goals and we need to improve. Conceding 14 goals from set-pieces is too much. Now we need to start again with the game against
Siena.”
Apart from finishing seventh in the winter break, they have conceded a mammoth 26 goals in the 18 matches played so far.
