Pc games settings change?

I Want to install TF2 and Gmod on my pc (windows xp). Will the games change system settings and cause some apps to stop working? If so then please tell me what will be changed and if/how it is reversible.

  1. No games do not change system settings.All your apps will still work they have nothing to do with games.
