Pc restarting by itself.

Question

I just swicht from an asus p4p800mx to a p4p8x- mx because the first one somebody in the house passed the vaccuum cleaner next to it and pulled a lot of cables from the computer and it was recognizing any of my periferial devices or my dvd rom or cd rom. So when I did the change the problem that i am having now is that when the computer tries to start windows it restart itself can you guys help me on this one, I checked all my cables and connections are alright I even did all the connections outside the case just in case that the case was causing the proble but is not. So what could it be?
