Pcos and ttc!?

Question

i have pcos since oct 07.am on metformin 500mg for 3 times a day.i got a period in nov jan feb and skipped march and got one in april, and in may and skipped june and got one in july.

i went to see my specialist in may. to see what is can do for me. i was told to lose weight in witch am .i went for a blood test in june to see if am ovulating on my own and i wasnt i was told to start on clomid as soon as my period comes so i started my first cycle on the 4th july 08.

i went to a blood test on day 21 now am just waiting for the results.wish me luck and that the pills has worked.

I DO WANT FUNNY COMMENTS PLEASE

i get my periods but dont ovulate.that is the big problem.but hopefully soon i get what i wanted!!!

hi there!!  i have pcos also and have been ttc for 8 years!! i also just went through my 3rd cycle of clomid. my period is due next sunday so we'll see.

i wanted to let you know though that usually it takes a couple cycles for clomid to really get you ovulating so if it doesnt happen this time then please dont be discouraged!!

I'm not trying to get your hopes up...but...my sister in law has pcos as well and is pregnant with her 2nd.  The first is just over 2 years old and the one she is pregnant with is due in Oct.  She was lucky enough not to have to take anything.  Before her 2 year old I know she lost one but other than that everything has turned out fine.  Her cycles are not very regular at all.  I suppose you could call it luck of the draw.

PCOS can be very frustrating!  My sister and cousin both have it.  My sister hasn't started TTC but my cousin just had a baby!  What she did was took metformin and letrozole along with having an IUI.  This combo worked for her on the first try (after trying for over 2 years).  I just wanted to share this because I think that her results are amazing!  I wish you luck in everything!!! ***baby dust***
