  1. i'm sorry but you are in the wrong category

  2. Yes, and no.  After Rueben runs into his second-cousin on a his first jailbreak, he finds a rare Chinese coin from the Mying dynasty that brings him an ominous feeling about the future.  In chapter 36, he enters a surfing competition, and he is severely injured by underwater coral.  This is largely attributed to the Chinese coin.  This is when his breathing problem comes back into the picture.  At this point, he doesn't know that Cindy and Jim are going to the prom together, so he doesn't get mad until he sees her wrist corsage on the credenza.  This disappointment arguably sets off an asthma attack that the doctors say is related to asbestos exposure when Rueben worked in that warehouse in chapter 18.  So, you could say that it was due to Cindy cheating, or just that asbestos can cause serious breathing problems.  Know what I mean?  From this part he meets up with a Rolling Stone writer and goes on tour with Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple.  Such irony.
