Peace activist / humanitarian how do I?

Question

my heart breaks for the Palestinians and their horrible, terrifying plight brought by the Israeli government and IDF. I want to know if anyone call tell me how to help? This is my dream, my hope in life is to be able to give hope, compassion, love, and care to a people who needs it.

It is more the pity that your heart does not break for the people in your own country who are suffering - I guess they do not stir your romantic notions enough to qualify for hope, compassion, love, and caring.  Not an insult, just an observation.

Edit: Chery, I'm not judging you, and it was not an offhand comment.  You are an American, though, and I'll stand by my my initial remarks.

it is so sad there are still people that don't understand that the palestinian suffering is due not to Israel but to politicians that in '48 decided NOT TO have a Palestinian state and them sed them just to earn money from intl help.

u want to help palestinians? free them from their politicians and create an indipendent palestinian state next to israel.

you can help by forcing the egyptians syrians and jordainians to accept the palestinian people instead of letting them sit in the squalor and degridation of a refugee camp, by the way they are treated worse by fellow arabs then by the IDF

Do you remember Rachel Corry? She was killed by an Israeli bull-dozer trying to protect a Palestinian's home from destruction. I met her parents on a Mother's Day Peace march at the Canadian border. Nice  folks ! She was a local girl. They got a website but I'm sorry ,I don't have the info. I support your hopes for peace !

The most obvious way to honor Rachel is to continue working on issues that mattered to her. Peace and justice for the Palestinian people is probably at the top of that list. We should also pursue a thorough investigation of Rachel's death and demand accountability by the Israeli army.

Don't help them.  Ever since the loathsome attack on Israeli athletes at the '72 Olympics, I've HATED Islamic terrorists.  The Palestinians and their celebration of suicide bombers have reinforced my hatred.  Not to mention Sept. 11.  :(

My heart breaks for the victims of Islamic atrocities.
