Peace can be best achieved through terror... whats your stand...?

Terror breeds hatred towards others. Hatred only causes a turmoil of anger in our lives. Peace CAN NOT be achieved with anger and hate dwelling on us.

As the second answer says no terror has ever led to peace.Only defeat of terror. Look at the IRA terrorism. Only their defeat and elimination led to peace.

Throughout the 2000 or so years of written history there is no record of a terror campaign ever leading to peace. Terrorism can, however, force one side or another to the bargaining table in hopes of ending the killing, but talks that begin with threats of terror rarely ever go anywhere productive. The side that has been forced to negotiate always insists on the other ending all violence before negotiations can begin, while the side committing the terror insists that fighting will continue until a solution has been negotiated. Never works.

Everyone takes their experiences in different ways.  Some people may have peace through terror.  If you talked to a rape or beat up victim, they live with the terror the rest of their lives.  Who is to say that person is going to have peace or vice versa.Then there are degrees of coping.

As I have lived through several traumatic situation, the Lord has been my strenght, however it's not to say, that I don't revisit those painful circumstances.  I turn it around by helping others.  I know walking with the Lord has given me strength and that's where my peace lies.  Many criminals have terror in their lives and carry it out to the max.  Then there are those who don't act it out.

Terror does not achieve peace.  Terror only manifests fear and loathing.
