Peacemaker likely to be strong in Stadium Bookmakers Puppy 480m Trophy
Peacemaker is expected to dominate proceedings in the Stadium Bookmakers Puppy 480m Trophy at Nottingham in England on Monday, July 30, 2012. A victory in the Grade OR event will earn him a cash prize of £150 in the end.
Both the speed and stamina will be crucial in today’s race, as the overall distance to cover will be 480 metres. Although there are some decent runners lined up for action, yet no one seems to be in a position to match Peacemaker, who is in terrific form
at the moment.
The young hound is quite new to the sport, but he has shown his class in the Grade OR events, which proves that he can challenge the best in the business at this level. He has been given a general starting price of 2 to 1 by the bookies and the punters will
not hesitate while risking bets on him today.
The J. Millard’s trainee started off his career normally with a few trial events. His performances in them were pretty much impressive and his team though of testing him at the highest level. He was sent in a Grade OR event, where the bookies rated him as
the favourite to win. He was unable to meet their expectations though and finished runner up by one length.
This did not stop the blue hound to bring up his maiden victory in this class, as he was triumphant in just his second outing. He was once again given the best odds by the bookies and took the top spot by a neck distance in the end.
This was just a beginning of a successful career, as the quality hound went onto win quite a few Grade OR events during the ongoing season. He has been successful in four out of five most recent events, which shows the momentum he is carrying right now.
It will be extremely hard for his opponents to stop him from taking the top spot once again.
Daves Mentor’s son out of Kitty Spark won his previous race by three lengths, which would have given him a lot of confidence. However, he has never raced at Nottingham before and the change in conditions might prove to be a hurdle in way of his success.
