whats the minimum size tank for 1 of these guys

  1. They really don't belong in home aquaria.  They get about 2' - 3' long.  You'd need a 12'x 4' tank.  You could probably get away with an 8' tank since they typically get about 24" in captivity.  At 2' you tank will need to be 8'x2' minimum.


  2. We had three in a 175 I believe it was and they are very nice fish but very hard to care for. We had alot of trouble keeping them healthy, they were spoiled on eating live fish and it seemed to always get our fish sick we tried so many different pelt foods couldnt get them to eat it, good luck.

  3. due to the sizes they are capable of growing to if I started them in a smaller tank I would have a plan in place to end up with them in a 200 to 500 gallon tank  thease are exstreamly large fish and would need the large sized tank just to handle the waste the fish will produce

  4. 125 gal.

    at my near by superpets they have one.
