Peacock or Ostrich feather help?

Question

I am having a 1920's Speakeasy based party. And I am looking for Ostrich feathers or something fluffy and flowy like that to put in vases. But the only ones I can find are like $5.00 each. It's outrageous. Where can I find cheaper ones, or feathers that look like that that aren't gonna blow a hole in my wallet?

My suggestion to you is to check in your local area for ostrich farms or with your local zoo to see if you can get them cheaper. I used to farm ostrich and many times gave feathers away or sold them cheap.

If there's a zoo nearby where you live give them a call and ask if they have any of the feathers there and if they are willing to give them to you.

If not, then you can always go to the dollar store (sometimes they have them) but most of the time I would just go to the art supply store.  The best I can find though at my store is about 3 dollars.
