what is the peak age for a sprinter? The age at which he will perform his best?

depends how much you really want it and how much you're willing to work for it.  [most likely sometime during high school to college] you need dedication and determination to achieve your goals.

Typically mid-upper 20's. Not too many are great into their 30s... and no one tops out at 17 (Dwain Chambers was close though).
