England’s Under 21 team manager, Stuart Pearce has gone on to suggest that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463 could be asked to feature in the team’s Euro 2013 campaign.
The last time the player was asked to be a part of the Under 21 side, he went on to deny the call up, as he felt he needed to take a break due to a very long season.
Since then, the player has been on the side lines with injuries dampening the player’s progress and participation for both club and country.
However, despite that fact, Pearce feels that it would be very valuable for the player to be a part of the team, since it is a once in a life time opportunity for him, considering how he won’t be eligible for the Under 21 squad in the near future.
"All of a sudden he's approaching his 20th birthday and I don't know when the next opportunity of a major tournament will be for him- next summer, the summer after?”
"The more tournament football these boys can get, the more it prepares them for the senior team, and it also gives us the opportunity to vie for a major trophy at Under-21 level because if you don't get to these tournaments you can't win them."
Roy Hodgson has opted to wait for the player to regain his fitness, as the manager is well aware of the problems that Wilshere has had in the past. It is believed that the manager was tempted to name him for England’s previous game, but the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809
boss has decided to wait for the player to be at a hundred percent, before he recalls him to the team.
"Jack did very well, didn’t he, when he broke into the team," he told reporters.
"He was a revelation, however long ago it was - a year or a year and a half ago - but he’s been injured since then.”
Wilshere already has a lot of expectations riding on his shoulders, which is going to see him come back with everyone looking at him to impress.
This approach could halt the player’s ability to perform, but given the ability that he possesses, he is bound to shine for every team he represents.
