Pearl Sea tipped to win Markel Insurance Maiden Fillies´ Stakes
Pearl Sea is likely to claim the Markel Insurance Maiden Fillies´ Stakes at Goodwood in England on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. The class-2 winner will be awarded a cash prize of £11,321.
The going will be good in the 6 furlong race, which will start at 16:20 GMT. A total of 18 runners will be seen in action and they will definitely make the completion interesting, despite the fact that they are young and inexperienced.
Things will be a touch difficult for the punters, as they will have to make a choice based on very little information. However, Pearl Sea will be a good option for them, as she has got good speed. Her performances till date have been really nice and she
will have a golden chance of brining up her maiden victory. The bookmakers have priced her 2 to 1 today, which means that they also expect a solid show from her.
The young filly has participated in just a couple of events and she has managed to give a tough time to her opponents in them. She has not succeeded in any of them though and the best she could manage was a runner up position once. She has also finished
as third once, which goes onto show that she has the skills to battle at the front of the field.
Elusive City’s daughter made her debut in June 2012 and was given a starting price of 4 to 1 in her first ever outing. She was up against some decent runners and had to fight hard in order to finish in the top three. Her start was not impressive, but she
managed to make up a lot of ground in the end.
Things were a touch different for the talented filly in the second race of her career, as the ground was soft that time around. She was still given a decent price of 5 to 1 by the bookies and did not disappoint them in the end, securing the runner up position.
The David Brown’s trainee will have to push a little harder in order to win her first race. She has the skills to do so and will be partnered by a very good jockey, Jamie Spencer.
