Pearl Secret accomplishes a massive victory in the Novae Bloodstock Insurance Scurry Stakes
With four consecutive victories in the bag, Pearl Secret deserves all the praise he can get. Trained by David Barron, the colt is more mature than what people thought of him, as he proved it by an intelligent run to secure his fourth consecutive victory
in the Novae Bloodstock Insurance Scurry Stakes at Sandown on 16th June, 2012.
The young runner was mounted by jockey, Richard Hughes, and the duo bolted through the five furlong track and claimed a massive victory over Bryan Smart’s charge, Free Zone, by a marginal difference of a neck.
With this victory, the son of Compton Place, out of mare Our Little Secret, has booked himself a ticket to the Royal Ascot, where his stamina will be tested further.
Trainer David Barron appreciated the performance of his runner and commented on the race technique as he stated:
"This was always going to be very dodgy," he further added "Partly because of the soft ground and also because he was stuck on the outside and you want to be along the rail here.
The trainer commented that the horse is in incredible form, and this race had been on his agenda for a long time.
The chestnut colt has been delivering excellent performances since his career began on 7th October, 2011.

He started by claiming a victory over, Lupo D'Oro, by 1 ½ lengths at York in the 5 ½ furlong Piper-Heidsieck National Racecourse Catering Awards E B F Maiden Stakes.
The runner is likely to have a bright future ahead of him and has many options to choose from.

David Redvers - racing manager for owner, Pearl Bloodstock Ltd, discussed the options of Pearl Secret and stated:
"I think the Nunthorpe Stakes (at York) is the likely target. He's in the July Cup as well and we'll have to sit down and discuss it.
"David has been very patient with him. I think if he'd run at Royal Ascot we might have lost him in a race like that. It's a case of getting as much experience into him as possible."
