Pearl Secret bags a win for trainer David Barron at York on 17th May, 2012
Pearl Secret, son of Compton Place, out of mare, Our Little Secret, bagged an impressive hat-trickcin the third start of his career, which raised his esteem among his connections.
The Pearl Bloodstock Ltd owned colt crushed his competition, and stole the show in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Sprint Conditions Stakes at York on 17th May, where he was guided to victory by the
talented jockey, Jamie Spencer.
The three-year-old colt is trained by David Barron, who expressed delight in these words:
"He's quite nice isn't he?"
He further commented that: "He was a fairly free horse when he came to us and Jamie has done a great job getting him to settle. I don't know where we'll go next, he's just learning his job."
The trainer stated that the runner lacked early pace, and didn’t lead in the initial stages but gathered pace when it was needed most.
Pearl Secret raced as a favourite with a winning shot of 5-6, and defeated the Tim Easterby trained, Ponty Acclaim, by 1 ½ lengths, whereas, Caledonia Lady, finished in third place.
With his impressive victories and unbeatable form, he has a variety of options to choose from as to where he will be racing next.
In his seasonal debut at Doncaster, the young runner managed to succeed in the Kat Communications Knowledge About Telecoms Handicap by a wide margin of 4 ½ lengths as he bolted past, Lupo D'Oro, on 27th April, 2012.
York also proved to be lucky for trainer Ronald Harris whose runner, Judge 'n Jury landed a staggering victory over, Secret Witness, by a neck in the Betfred Mobile Sports Stakes.

The runner-up, also trained by Harris, showed determination on the track and performed well.
Satisfied with the performance of his runners, the trainer stated:

"The horses are obviously in great order. The winner had a terrible season last season. He had a problem with his palate and only had 30% airway, but he still ran a couple of good races including in this race last year.”
