Pearl Secret set to stand first in Conditions Stakes
Pearl Secret is likely to expose his inherent racing skills and clinch top spot in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Sprint Conditions Stakes when he runs at York racecourse on Thursday, May 17. The Class 2 contest over a distance
of 5 furlongs will start at 3:35 (GMT).
For the prize cheque worth £12,938, the David Barron-trained novice colt will compete against five rivals such as Ponty Acclaim, Caledonia Lady, Es Que Love, North Star Boy and Vocational.
Pearl Secret has excellently finished first in each of the total two races of his career. Debuting with a marvellous triumph on October 7, 2011, the three-year-old brilliant sprinter grabbed top spot in the very next outing on April 27, 2012.
Now, the talented son of Compton Place out of Our Little Secret is determined to complete his hat-trick by winning the Conditions Stakes. With these two epic triumphs to his name, the maverick sprinter has gained the highest betting odds and this will definitely
be an additional advantage for him.
If Pearl Secret manages to capitalise well on his capabilities, he will have up to 95 percent chances to finish first.
However, Es Que Love will surely give enough tough time to the hot favourite runner. The Mark Johnston-trained brown colt is also on the verge of a hat-trick as he excellently won two big races during the last month. As a whole, the veteran sprinter has
won 3 of his total 11 starts so far.
Ponty Acclaim is also likely to do well today. Tim Easterby’s bay filly marvellously won a race each on August 30 and October 1, 2011. Overall, she has won 4 of her total 9 races so far. The experienced filly can trigger an upset in the race.
Thus, there will be a rip-roaring clash for the Stakes title. The race will have many twists. A large number of spectators are likely to turn out to the venue to enjoy the fabulous action. Let us see who manages to manoeuvre success to his/her favour. Good
luck to all the runners.
