Pearldropdiamond convinced about the Owens Obsession Stakes
One of the most endearing entries for the Grade A2 Owens Obsession Stakes is the four-year-old, Pearldropdiamond. Her recent postings are not exactly impressive but are way better than what the other contenders have brought in lately. The 420 metres flat race will witness four other hounds racing for bagging the £83 prize money on Wednesday, 19th September at Peterborough.
The white and brindle b***h has been racing at Peterborough since 2010. She has been taking turns with racing at Grade T level to Grade A9 - A2. Her last two races of August were a display of consistency, winning a race and scoring second in the next.
On 24th August, 2012, Si Senor’s daughter won the Grade A3 420 metres flat race at Peterborough. She did not set in a high gear right after leaving the track and neither did she break into an early lead.
Dominating the rest of the lot just near the line had her concluding the race in 25.97 seconds and consequently bagging the £72 prize money.
The R. Devenish trained had her next stop in the Grade A2 the Glenfield Stakes on 31st August, 2012 at Peterborough over 420 metres. Not giving up the lead after leashing out of the fifth trap had the winner, Barbies Moonbeam, nailing the race in 25.68 seconds.
Parking just behind the winner was, Pearldropdiamond, who timed the track distance in 25.86 seconds.
The races which she has lost during the current month were due to getting crowded in the field and then failing to break free from the cluster in time.
Last time that the brindle and white b***h won, she raced out of the second stall whereas for tonight she has drawn the first box to break from. The number has proved lucky for her in the past and she will once again be able to make the most out of the exposed chance.
The rest of the line-up includes Aghowle Native, Ougham Robin, Chico Sweet and Elmer Fudd.
The remaining contestants are up in their improving zone and cannot be underestimated over the track that they might prevail on.
