Hi I would like your input on this, to see if this would improve my team:

I was going to offer this trade Peavy for Manny, My pitching is pretty strong but my outfield is pretty bad.

My pitching Peavy,Zambrano,Hudson,Verlander,Shields,... & Scherzer (N/A)

Outfielders, McClouth, Melky Cabbrera, Carlos Gomez, Francouer, Hairston jr, Damon (D/L).

The other guy needs pitching so i think he'll bite if not, who would you go for with what i've got

This is a H2H keeper league, the rest of my bats are C Navarro, 1b Fielder, 2b Cano, 3b Gordon, ss Guillen D/L V Martinez reserve C Clement

RP's Papplebon,Wood,Casilla,Wheeler,Duaner Sanchez.

Thanks for your help :)

  1. I would do it because your pitching is pretty good and your OF is not so good.  This would be a fair trade.  Also Peavy has been getting injured on and off so you might just want to trade him... in my opinion.

  2. You might be able to get Manny for less right now considering he's in a pretty bad slump. He can't catch up to the inside fastball to save his life...

  3. Try offering Shields before offering up Peavy.  Peavy is one of the best pitchers in the game when healthy so I would try other scenerios before getting rid of Peavy.  Only last resort you should offer up Peavy if you really want Manny.

  4. I really like peavy. if i were in your place i might try to lowball the other first. send out a feeler offer of hudson straight up, or maybe hudson+melky or something. try to begin the trade process by identifying the best package you would offer for a given player/package and then take it down a couple steps in value. that way you can negotiate a bit and try to get a better deal and protect more talent than you would initially.
