Pedal size?

My husband has got an old style 1980's racer, with Silstar cranks. Would you say the pedals are 9/16th or 1/2 inch? I think they may be 9/16 but we're not sure.

Almost certainly 9/16" rat traps, 1/2" are almost exclusivly used on one peice cranks.

Don,t forget left hand thread on left of bike.

That sounds like 9/16th is what you need. Most of the 1/2 inch pedals were for old Schwinns, many older department store bikes, and some BMX/Freestyle bikes. I work in a bike shop part time and that's what I've been finding.
