I got this idea for a question from something i just answered in regards to cell phones. here in l.a., people just jaywalk everywhere but what gets me is they don't even look up or move their tush. I mean they walk s l o w l y and act like nothing in the world will hit them. i'm sorry but isn't that a bit dangerous and in your area do pedestrians do that? I used to live in the midwest and you would run across the street or get run over.

  1. In Alaska, people understand that the vehicle is bigger than you are, so they get the h**l out of their way. But in Washington, where i am right now, people just walk out and blame the drivers if it is a close call, i wish i could just hit them until they start looking ;)

  2. I know it's probably considered "cool" not to care while crossing the street.  My friends don't consider it any kind of danger and laugh at me when I run across a dangerous, busy, rush-hour highway, as they cross with their noses in the air.  Most people go for what's cool, rather than what's logical.

  3. I get the same thing sometimes in NH. It comes mostly from these punk little city kids in their beebop raggy clothes....they know very well that you're there...and are just in no hurry to get across the street. I think it stems from a serious lack of respect for anybody but themselves.

  4. For the most part they just cross without looking at all and I think that they do this because they are looking for a quick buck from a law suit.......

  5. yea- they slither across with there raggedy clothes below there butt, while on there cell - Just like they Drive - that's why so many crash & get laid out in S.Floriduh ! They need there OWN island.. RUN = LOL
