  1. Two

  2. age 2.5, is when my pediatric dentist starts what he calls happy visits.  Where they get the child used to the chair and so forth.  Then at 3 they do a first cleaning and repeat every 6 months.  Good Luck!

  3. I'd say 2 1/2 to 3. Ask around with friends for a great dentist to make your little one feel comfortable. You might want to prepare him/her for what the dentist will do and reassure your child that it won't hurt etc. My first screamed the whole way through.

  4. Take him every time you go, so he gets used to the idea. The dentist won't need to look seriously until he is 2 or 3, but he can still have the idea of "open wide" and getting a sticker afterwards! You do go every six months, right? Seriously, the best way to get kids to accept things like going to the dentist is for the whole family to go.

  5. From what I have read, and people have told me that you should take them to the dentist when he is a year old..   Most babies have some teeth by age 1, this way the dentist can check those few that he has.  I plan on taking my daughter when she is a year old, just to make sure her gums are healthy and everything is normal.

  6. Most dentists say 3, but if you see a problem go before then.

  7. I would say age 3.  I took both my kids starting at that age and prior to the visit I read them "Barney Goes to the Dentist" to give them an idea of what to expect.

  8. Three is a good age.

I took my children with me when I went to the dentist and he let them sit there while I got treated.

This way they won't be scared when it is time for them to see the dentist
