Pedigree Dogs Exposed what'd you think?

Sorry, I know this question has been asked a couple times before, but I hadn't had a chance to watch the thing for myself yet. Now that I have, I'm curious what other people think...

I know that the word propaganda has been thrown around a lot, and while that may be true the video also seems to hold quiet a bit of truth to it. The extremes that some dog breeds have been taken to it scary, though not quiet as scary as how closed minded some of the breeders interviewed were (they remind me of religious people who when asked to defend they're religion are only able to quote the bible).

On a side note: I found it fascinating how much some of the breeds have changed by people who work in the name of preserving them...

So, anyway what did you think?

Haven't seen it, but from the reviews and samples they're probably right on the money.  We have the same problem here in the US; and the AKC and 'breeders' are just as willfully blind to the dangers.

Addendum: Rayven is either ignorant or a liar.  I have seen numerous AKC certificates with mother-son, father-daughter, and brother-sister matings.  They are allowed, they do occur, and they are registered.

I dont know, but it PISSES ME OFF when people just qoute the bible when their asked to defend ther religion

I think people need to stop asking this question. different KCs have different standards. The AKC does not allow for direct inbreeding and responsible only do line-breeding under very controlled situations 3rd cousins and further apart.

It is propaganda and just what groups like PETA want people to think is the real truth of the breeding world when it comes to purebreds. It also perpetuates the myth that mutts are healthier.

People who wish to be dog owners need to educate themselves on how reputable breeders operate and the ins and out of the dog breed they are interested in.

All this video is going to do is send people to the people who don't deserve their money - breeders or designer mutts, petshops and BYB - none of which who genetically test or even care about the animals they are creating.

A good breeder will answer any and all of the questions you have and also let you see any and all paperwork regarding pedigree championships genetic testing etc.
