The on-loan left winger does not appreciate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 in Euro 2012.
Swashbuckling http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pedro-c29582 Leon joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2010 but failed miserably in his attempt to cement a first team place at the Santiago Bernabeu, under Jose Mourinho.
The left flank operator had a public bust up with the Portuguese manager, an offence that casted major doubt on his future in the Spanish capital.
On the other hand, Raul Albiol finds himself a victim of injuries and increasing competition in the Spanish giants’ dressing room.
Additions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-Carvalho-c30973 and Raphael Varane have seriously dented the defender’s first team opportunities, while Castilla players rise up in the ranks.
In the current season, the 31-time capped Spanish international has made a paltry 11 first team appearances, most of them coming from the bench.
Albiol’s limited first team appearances have severely dented his chances of participation in the upcoming European championships, something not lightly taken by good friend, Pedro Leon.
Reflecting on the situation, the Getafe winger launched a veiled attack on Jose Mourinho, who he blames for the entire scenario.
Leon had kind words for his compatriot and hoped he gets more first team opportunities and was sceptical of the Portuguese tactician. He stated that in the presence of the self proclaimed Special One, Albiol has a tough task on his hands.
"I know what's going on and hopefully the situation can change, although it will be difficult because of the individual [Mourinho] they have there," the winger told Onda Cero.
"I have friends at Real Madrid and of course talk to them. I understand Albiol. There are Euro 2012 places at stake. I send [him] all my support and all my good wishes."
With the season entering its final stages, Pedro Leon is on his way back to first team contention. During his eight months at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, the exciting winger has made a paltry 8 La Liga appearances scoring one goal in the process.
