After a cagey 2011/12 season, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 attacker is enjoying football again, scoring goals for club and country whenever his service is required.
La Masia academy graduate, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pedro-c29582 Rodriguez Ledesma, has been in scintillating form in the current season, finally managing to find his footing again after a disappointing penultimate season in Barcelona’s ranks.
The attacker was amongst goals again, hitting a brace for La Roja in their international friendly against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Saudi-Arabia-c3000 in Pontevedra, while also scoring a pair for La Blaugrana and laying down an assist from 5 competitive club fixtures.
Pedro was understandably pleased with the return of form after suffering from injury and subsequent form the previous season. He acknowledged his improved situation, attributing it to his training regimen and the hard work he is putting in.
Continuing on the topic, the 25-year-old coyly suggested that he has his confidence back, and believes he has lady luck smiling on him in his forays ahead.
“I’m training well and I’m working hard," he said.
"Maybe now I am having better luck in front of goal. I’ve had confidence and fortune in the opening games. I’m doing well and I hope to continue along this path.”
Three games into the 2012/13 La Liga season and Barcelona find themselves at the top of points table, boasting off a five point advantage over champions, Real Madrid.
With barely a month left for their domestic fixture against their arch-rivals, Barcelona attacker claimed that they will have to continue putting pressure on the Capital club.
He pointed towards their next meeting with Getafe at the Coliseum, reflecting that it would be a tough fixture but they cannot afford to lose points with Madrid chasing them.
“We’d like to get a good lead to go into that game but we have a lot of work starting with Getafe. It’s a tough game that we will have to have an answer to.”
“We want to go into the next games with Granada and Sevilla with the best possible options available. I do not know if five points will be critical, but time will tell what the advantage does."
